The top five bank lenders included in this ranking had an average mortgage origination volume of more than $43 billion as of the end of the first quarter. A majority of banks saw a decrease in mortgage origination volume between the fourth quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, but Bank of America saw a significant increase of 103.49%.
The data was sourced from National Mortgage News’ MortgageStats site, which pulls from quarterly call reports available from the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.
